The Tournament will be remembered also as some of the host players "weared rugby jersey and boots" after more than 30 years again . . . Tournament party with plenty of local food, wine and traditional beer took place in the Clubhouse at the same Sports Centre. The Club volunteers were excellent hosts and the musicians Simic & Co. entertained all until late in the evening . . .
In the name of EVRA the Secretary Marko Protega presented usual European Series special made plagues to "Makarska Rivijera" Club and to the main organiser Drago Lulic, the legend of Makarska Rivijera rugby, who had the "long career" playing for top clubs in France.
Three Oldest players of the Tournament had been "awarded" by EVRA:
- Mile Kovacevic (74) from Ragbi ´59 Split
- Vjenceslav - Kvaka Nadinic (71), from ZVRK Zagreb
- Ivan Kelviser (70) from "Makarska Rivijera" Vets, Makarska
This first Tournament was the step towards the tradition . . . in 2017 it will be held in the first half of May and in 2018 when Club celebrates its 50th Anniversary the veterans will meet again as the part of the Festival of Rugby . . .
