LES INDÉNDENDANTS du BRC WON E V R A SPECIAL AWARD

On May 30th 2015 EVRA Secretary visited Beauvais Tournament again (it was the jubelee 10th edition) to present this special EVRA Award to the new President Lionel Taillandrier and to Guy Quaranta, who after ten years left Beauvais to live again in South of France.

2015 Tournament games had been played  as usual at the Town Rugby Stadium “Marcel Communeau”, named after one of the early French national players and captain (1906 – 1913). 14 teams from  Belgium (2), Wales (1), Scotland (1) and France (12) took part this time. At the end of the day in the big Tournament  the "final classification" had been announced: Clermont, Plaisir (won additional Fair Play), Charleroi, Roannes, Soissons, Barry, Bretigny, Laon, Houilles, Indépendants, Tillicoultry, Nivelles, Super XV (won the "Funny Cup"), Isle Adam.

BRC PR - Marketing Manager and one of the Tournament new organisers Fabrice Vandroux sent for EVRA News the "short facit" of this year event: " Regarding wording, this is not my speciality but I can say that we were very pleased to organise the 10th Challenge Jean-Paul Cheron. We all spent the great time on this sunny saturday, The tournament was won by Les Potages de Clermont that did "a great job" on the pitch (6 games /6 victories) and also impressed all with the Fair-play attitude. This event was also very special for us as we received from Marko´s hands the Special EVRA Award as the organisers of the most internatiuonal and the biggest European Series tournanement in 2014. As the conclusion, may I say that we invite all european teams interested to join us next year to come to Beauvais for another great moment of veteran rugby."
